Can parents be involved in a teenager’s counselling sessions?
Yes, absolutely. If appropriate, parents can be involved in a teenager’s counselling sessions. I find that this is especially helpful to building a closer relationship with your teen and can help the parent understand their teenagers’ feelings a little better. My adolescent counselling services can be availed of by individuals or parents.
How do I know if my teenager needs counselling?
If your teenager is exhibiting drastic changes in mood, routine, or behaviour, they may benefit from teenage counselling services. Examples of this include; lack of motivation, excessive worry, excessive sadness, self-destructive behaviour, dramatic changes in appetite or sleeping habits, and excessive thoughts or conversation about death.
